We have some good news for Mac users — a free update for MindManager 10 for Mac.
The new MindManager 10.5 for Mac has a number of exciting features including new HTML5 export, an improved UI, Topic Quick Add, better compatibility with maps from Windows, updated images and libraries, and more. It also corrects some issues we've heard from the community and we've removed some outdated capabilities which we will investigate to replace in future releases.
Along with the free update for MindManager 10 for Mac customers, we've also introduced new, more affordable pricing across the board for Mac users. For new customers, the Mac product is now sold on its own for $179/£129/€179. Upgrade pricing is $89/£65/ €89.
Let's take a closer look at some of the highlights of the new 10.5 update:
Universal File Export
We're excited to introduce a new universal file export based on HTML5 which produces an interactive file that can be opened in any modern browser. Reviewers of your map can navigate within the map, open and close branches, access links, attachments and view topic notes and other map data, pan and zoom, search for information and more.
This is the most powerful map export we've ever offered and we plan to continue to evolve and expand its capabilities. It will replace the current HTML5 export which had been listed as ‘beta' previously.
New & Enhanced Interface
We've also updated the interface to bring forward the most commonly used features and place them on the main toolbar to make it faster and easier for you to build your maps.
Topic Quick Add
We know a lot of MindManager users facilitate meetings with MindManager and use it for note taking (in and out of meetings). The ability to quickly hop around the map and add new topics to different sections is important so you can keep focused on note taking and not have to focus so much on ‘map making'.
We've added the Topic Quick Add, an optional feature set in MindManager's preferences that creates blue frame around your selected topic with plus arrows in the different directions. Hit the plus sign and new topics will appear in the direction of your choice, creating either a parent topic, a sibling topic or a child topic.

We've updated the MindManager for Mac's ability to display maps created in other parts of the platform. This is the first step in order to provide viewing capability as soon as possible. You'll enjoy some editing capabilities but we're working on expanding this feature to allow you the full ability to create these new diagram types.
New Images & Updated Templates
Another exciting visual enhancement is that we've added over 700 new topic images which can be easily resized without losing quality. The default size of the images are larger (52×52) in MindManager 10.5 for Mac and allow you to scale to the maximum resolution of 192×192 without losing image quality. You can still access images from the previous version in the Library under the Legacy category. The MindManager templates library has also been updated to include these new images.
Finally, we've been doing some cleanup within the app and removed some of the outdated integrations along with several unsupported mapping features (Labels, Bookmarks, Slides).
I know it has been a while since our last update, longer than we had planned originally. I thank you for your patience. We are committed to making MindManager for Mac an amazing application with plans to continue making new improvements, fixing issues, and launching updates more frequently in the future.
